CYCLE « ÉCRIRE L’ART » AVEC LAURENCE NOBÉCOURT

LIBRAIRIE LES TRAVERSÉES

Cycle "to write art" with Stéphane Lambert
"Writing as an art form"
Meeting with Laurence Nobécourt Tuesday, September 10 at 19:00

After having explored the links between writing and art, after having invited writers to talk about art and artists to talk about writing, after having writers and artists dialogue, he was missing the cycle "to write the art" to hear a writer evoking writing as an art form. The occasion came naturally with the publication of Laurence Nobécourt's new book, Le chagrin des origines (Albin Michel), an intense and magnificent narrative in which the author pays homage to the "way of the word". She tells how writing and the research of her form have been beneficial in her career by allowing to overcome psychic suffering, to get closer to her quest for meaning, to give melancholy a liberating expression, to find through the texts a fraternity with other authors and to affirm by the magic power of words his faith in life.

Moderated meeting by Corinne Cossé-Le Grand

CYCLE « ÉCRIRE L’ART » AVEC STÉPHANE LAMBERT AU MUSÉE MARMOTTAN

MUSÉE MARMOTTAN

Readers will have the opportunity to accompany Stéphane Lambert in the rooms dedicated to Claude Monet at the Marmottan Museum. The author will return to the two books inspired by the series Water Lilies (The Goodbye to the landscape, The Difference, 2008, Impressions of the pond, Arléa, 2016) giving a vivid way to see how is developed a text on art from the first reception of the work to its literary formatting.

"Through a prose on the borders of poetry, the author takes us on an intimate journey with Monet and allows us to find the thread of a creation that mobilized the painter for the last forty years of his life. "

BACON EN TOUTES LETTRES

CENTRE GEORGES POMPIDOU

Following the monographs devoted to Marcel Duchamp, René Magritte, André Derain and Henri Matisse, the Center Georges Pompidou continues to review the major works of the 20th century and devotes a vast exhibition to Francis Bacon.
The last major French exhibition of this artist took place in 1996 at the Center Pompidou.
More than 20 years after "Bacon, in all letters" brings together paintings from 1971 - the year of the retrospective devoted to him by the national galleries of the Grand Palais - to his last works in 1992; Didier Ottinger curates the exhibition, which explores in a new way the influence of literature on Francis Bacon's painting.
